You Got This

"One of the highest of human duties is the duty of
encouragement…It is easy to laugh at [people’s] ideals; it is easy to pour cold water on their enthusiasm; it is easy to discourage others. The world is full of discouragers. We have a Christian duty to encourage one another." --William Barclay

One of the best things we can do as Christians is to encourage others in their journey of faith and life. So thank you, thank you, thank you for endeavoring to be an intentional encourager.

Whenever you engage in the practice of encouraging others, imagine the ripple effect you are creating. Know that whenever you make someone feel encouraged or good about themselves, they are much more likely to make someone else feel that way. And that person is more likely to encourage yet another person.

When the problems of the world seem overwhelming, we should never underestimate our power to change things by lifting up one person at a time. Encouragement is infectious. Those who feel encouraged almost always transmit it to others.

                    Show Some Interest

Paying attention to people and their interests encourages others make making them feel heard, seen and, well...interesting.

It Won't Always Feel This Way

This is a powerful piece of encouragement to offer those who are going through difficult times. It acknowledges and affirms that things may, indeed, feel bad right now, but offers the promise that things will change.

                        Celebrate!

There is enough to lament and mourn in this world. We should never allow the opportunity to celebrate pass us by.

                                  When Encouragement Isn't Called For

When Encouragement Is Not What's Needed

                                    Tools

Perhaps you've realized by now the most important ingredient needed to become a world class encourager--intention. When we shift into an encourager mindset and be intentional about being encouraging on a daily basis, we are able to bring the right kind of encouragement to people when they need it most.

As you move forward with your intentional encouraging, here are some daily and weekly worksheets with which to set intentions and reflect on how it's going.

Check out the daily and weekly options. Use one or the other or both.

And send me your address so that I can send you your stickers. Share them with people and stick them on places where they can to the most good.
